The Williams FW11B was a Formula One car used for the 1987 Formula 1 season. Designed by Patrick Head and Frank Dernie; it was an evolution of the FW11 of the previous season. It most notable feature of the FW11B was the turbo 1.5-liter V6 engine Honda; one of the most powerful in F1 at the time that produces 800 hp at 12,000 rpm and over 1,000 hp in the classification. They added to the engine power were aerodynamics; they were also superior to the rest of the field that season. With the excellent driving pairing of Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell was a force to be reckoned with. The car was a product instantly recognizable the 1980 F1 turbo era; and powered Nelson Piquet to your 3rd World Championship F1.
