The RMS Titanic (English: Royal Mail Steamship Titanic, ;Steamship Titanic Royal Mail) was a British ocean liner, the largest ship in the world at the time of her launch, which sank in the morning from 14 to 15 April 1912 during its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York via Cherbourg, France and Queenstown Ireland.
