Hot-dipped Galvanized Steel Platform Assembly for Wetwell Access
Comprehensive structural detailing for a prefabricated steel platform surrounding a precast wetwell. This platform is designed as four separate pieces (A, B, C, D) for field assembly, with overall dimensions of approximately 12′-6″ × 12′-1″.

– Structural framing using C8×11.5 and C4×7.25 channel sections
– L3×3×3/8 knee braces for lateral stability
– 1″×3/16″ W/B type banded grating (bearing bars at 1-3/16″ O.C.)
– Access hatch (36″×48″)
– 1-1/2″ SCH 40 pipe handrail system with 1-1/4″ SCH 40 hoop guards
– Access ladder with 1″ diameter rungs at 7″ spacing
Connection Details:
– Platform pieces joined with 3/4″ A325 bolts at 18″ O.C.
– Anchoring to wetwell via 5/8″ HIT-Z stainless steel threaded rods using Hilti HIT-HY200 adhesive system (5-5/8″ embedment)
– All platform framing, hardware, and grating specified as hot-dipped galvanized
