The Barcelona Pavilion, designed by Mies van der Rohe, was the building to represent Germany at the Barcelona International Exposition held in 1929. Conceived as representative space to accommodate the official reception presided over by King Alfonso XIII and the German authorities,. This building is one of the milestones in the history of modern architecture, and is considered by many authors as one of the four canonical pieces of architecture of the modern movement with eledificio Gropius of the Bauhaus, the Villa Savoye of Le Corbusier and Cascade House Wright.
