Our Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing collection holds 6,000+ DWG files covering the building-services layer that makes a structure habitable: water and waste, power and lighting, climate, and fire safety. These are the drawings that sit on top of the architecture and turn a shell into a working building. Read more about this category ▾
Plumbing content covers sanitary and vent risers (low-rise through high-rise), water-supply layouts, hot and cold distribution, drainage and storm networks, pump and tank details, and hydraulic installation plans. Electrical content covers single-line diagrams, power and lighting layouts, distribution boards, wiring and connection diagrams, cable routing, earthing, and control schematics. Mechanical and HVAC content covers ductwork layouts, air-handling and chiller equipment, smoke-extraction and ventilation plans, and refrigeration piping. Fire-protection content covers sprinkler main and branch piping, hanger plans, hydrant and standpipe networks, alarm and detection layouts, and installation details. Industrial process work appears too: P&IDs, piping fabrication isometrics, vent-line spools, and instrumentation schematics.
Documentation depth varies by file. Full-floor system plans show routing coordinated against the architectural base. Riser and single-line diagrams give the vertical and schematic logic. Fabrication isometrics and spool drawings carry weld points, dimensions, and bills of material for the shop. Symbol and legend libraries provide reusable MEP block sets (valves, fittings, fixtures, devices, diffusers) ready to drop into new drawings. AutoCAD 2010 or later opens every file; a portion include 3D models for coordination work.
Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing is part of the broader Engineering & Technical library. Related collections: Construction Details & Systems for the buildable structure beneath the services, Climate Conditioning for dedicated HVAC equipment and ducting, Calculations for load and sizing tables, and Building Codes & Standards for compliance requirements.
